Abstract: In this series of talks, we will introduce the Beilinson-Bloch-Kato conjecture, which generalizes the famous B-SD conjecture to motives. We will discuss some recent results toward this problem, together with some new tools. We will also see some interplay among Galois cohomology, L-functions, automorphic periods, and arithmetic of Shimura varieties.
