摘 要:Let A be a non-CM elliptic curve over a number field K. A well-known result of Serre states that the Galois action on the l-adic Tate module of A is maximal compact (i.e., equals to GL_2(Z_l)) when l is sufficiently large. In this talk, I will describe a recent joint work with Michael Larsen, generalizing Serre's result to all abelian varieties.
