Title: Some aspects of  $G_{2}$-instantons 
Abstract: $G_{2}-$instantons on a $7-$dimensional manifold generalize both flat connections in dimension 3, and anti self-dual connections in dimension 4.
People expect a certain count of $G_{2}-$instantons and other objects could yield a topological invariant for $7-$manifolds, called the prospective $G_{2}-$Casson invariant. This is expected to be a unification of Donaldson-type, Seiberg-Witten type, and Gromov-Witten type invariants.   Related to this program, we report some work on moduli space of smooth $G_{2}-$instantons, and spectral theory/obstruction theory of  singular $G_{2}-$instantons.
