Title: The symmetries of affine K-systems and a program for centralizer rigidity
Abstract: The symmetries of a smooth dynamical system on a closed manifold are the coordinate changes that preserve the dynamics. In this program we describe symmetry groups and their effect on dynamics in the setting of affine diffeomorphisms on compact homogeneous spaces and their affine perturbations. Our goal is to prove that a non stably ergodic affine automorphism on a compact homogeneous space admits an affine approximation with an infinite dimensional centralizer. Some important cases of the aforementioned result will be explained in this talk. This is a joint work with Danijela Damjanovic, Amie Wilkinson, and Disheng Xu.
