Title: Rational completed cohomology of Hilbert modular varieties

Abstract: I'll describe a way to bound the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of rational completed cohomology of Hilbert modular varieties below middle degree (based on the method in joint work with Kai-Wen Lan). Several applications will be discussed, including a construction of the plectic Lie algebra action in our recent joint work with Yuanyang Jiang.
