Title: Global Well-Posedness for the Two-Dimensional Euler–Poisson System for Ions
Abstract: In this talk, I will present a recent work establishing global existence and scattering for the two-dimensional Euler-Poisson system for ions, for small perturbations of the equilibrium state. The analysis employs the method developed in the study of gravity-capillary water waves and the Euler-Maxwell system. The main obstacles are slow decay and time resonance at low frequencies, which are overcome by exploiting the improved finite speed of propagation and the absence of space resonance and second resonance.
