Title: Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality in anisotropic Lebesgue spaces and energy equality in the Navier-Stokes equations

Abstract: In this talk, I will review the celebrated Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality in isotropic Lebesgue spaces and discuss its recent progress in anisotropic Lebesgue spaces. In particular, it is shown that a new analogue in anisotropic Lebesgue spaces of the fractional Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality is valid, for which the necessary and sufficient condition will be also provided. As an application, some novel criteria for energy equality of Leray-Hopf weak solutions to the 3D Navier-Stokes equations will be presented in these spaces, which extend the known corresponding results.
